Every day, thousands of children are injured on playgrounds around the world. Playgrounds are meant to entertain children and challenge them—but unnecessary injuries can be prevented. At KOMPAN, we take this seriously, which is why we have a team of Safety Engineers who ensure that our playgrounds are as safe as they are fun. And yes, that means literally walking through the playground—climbing the structures, testing the equipment, and seeing it through the eyes of the user.

We’re looking for a Product Safety Engineer to join our team and help protect the world of children’s play. This role isn’t just about spreadsheets and standards—you’re a good fit if you have natural energy, don’t mind being out in the field, and want to test things in practice (approx. 10% workshop, 90% office).

What will your tasks be?

• Collaborate with teams developing both standard and custom playgrounds made of steel, rope, and wood
• Serve as the safety liaison for colleagues in design, engineering, manufacturing, and final inspection
• Work with international safety standards—our playgrounds are shipped from Brno all over the world
• Create and manage technical documentation for product certification for various countries and age groups according to specifications
• Analyze new and existing products—both on drawings and physically—and propose improvements based on test results
• Use specialized tools to identify risk areas directly on the production floor

Your profile: Who are we bringing on board?

• A college degree in a technical field
• Logical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
• Communicative English—all documentation is in English
• Playground safety is a specialized field, and it’s okay if you’re not familiar with it—we’ll train you.

We’d appreciate it if:

• you have a basic knowledge of SolidWorks or another 3D CAD program
• you have experience in new product development
